This lovely Victorian was built in 1893 by Columbus furniture mogul A.L. Conklin. He was a beloved city mover and shaker.
Over the past hundred plus years the house was used for business offices, doctors' offices, and then it was divided into two apartments. Fortunately, in the 1970's Jose Cueto and his wife Maria bought the house, renovated it and raised their family here. Jose was an Architecture Professor at OSU so the renovation was done with an eye toward historic preservation. Thank you Maria and Jose!
Eugene and Elizabeth bought the house from the Cuetos in November 2007 with the intent of creating a bed and breakfast and preserving the house.
To our dear historians; please let us know if you find out anything else about this house, we would love to include it here.
